Another Brick In The Berlin Wall
Further to U2’s playing the Brandeburg Bridge in Berlin to celebrate the 20th Anniversay of (a move Rock NYC has already dubbed arrogant and ill judged) comes word the tone deaf U2 and their ignorant minions MTV Europe have erected a huge wall which will, among other things, hide the concert from the people most effected by the intial fall of the wall.
This is a microcosm of everything Rock NYC despises in the otherworld of big finance, big business, rock as exemplified by the usual bunch of villians: Jann Wenner, U2, and Bruce Springsteen… people who should GET IT and don’t.
Who in their right mind celebrates the falling of a wall by erecting a new one? Who would block the concert from rest of the city. And what the hell are U2 doing in a position that rightfully belongs to a German musician.
How about local rappers Frauenarzt & Manny Marc whose “Das Geht Ab” is # 13 on Germany’s charts? Or the very popular Cassandra Steen, her collab with Adel Tawl “Stadt” is also on the charts? There are others. Germany does have an indigious popular music scene. Why do U2 have to put their stupid mushes into it. God forbid MTV celebrate German pop music in a celebration of the unfication of the capital of Germany.
It is truly unbelievable the complete vapidity of these billionare rock stars as they fail time after time to stop acting like assholes.
