An Orphan Molly Writes…

"Annie" is a Broadway musical based upon the comic strip Little Orphan Annie, music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin, and the book by Thomas Meehan. The original Broadway production opened in 1977 and ran for nearly six years.

The original production included the smash hit "Tomorrow" used by Jay-Z for his hit "Hard Knock Life".

In 2011 my school, Lomond School, in Scotland,  mounted a production of “Annie”, I was the youngest orphan called Molly, I was told to act cute and make people feel sorry for me. The person who played Annie was girl called Molly Keating; she wasn't bad but Robyn Hodgson played an excellent Miss Hannigan. She had the perfect strong voice and she was amazing at being a horrible lady, who loved herself and thought any man loved her.

Since Annie had a ginger afro, we had to get Molly a wig, and any time she walked on stage we all started laughing, but if we wanted to be professionals we had to keep it in.

This production took us 6 months to get it perfect. All in all, this production went very well and everyone enjoyed it.

I have a DVD and for the going price of $100 it can be yours!
