This week on American Idol, they had to choose “inspirational songs”.
The judges couldn’t have said it any better– you need to be great, not just good.
Casey was only good with his guitar and, agreeing with the judges, lacked originality.
Lee was great and didn’t get caught up in playing the guitar and added some interesting unique things and it was impressive.
Tim I’m on the fence about. Not only does he look like he’d be in a boy band, but he sounds like one. He could easily be a frontman for a band like Every Avenue or The Summer Set.
Aaron Kelly–why hasn’t America voted you off yet? His performance is one you could forget about in an hour flat. Nothing special, nothing good, and just not pleasing to the ear.
Siobhan wasn’t great–she was incredible. Not only can I not find a single flaw in her performance, but it was good. A high note was the cherry on top and made it my favourite performance of the night.
Michael was outstanding, another great performance. It fit his range and he looked comfortable singing it.
Crystal without a guitar is Crystal putting her heart and soul into a song. Great as always and impressive without her trusty guitar. She should go instrumentless more often.
The show was filled with goods, greats, outstandings, and unforgettables. But hopefully Aaron gets voted off.
