Amanda and her band the Theater Of Evil are bringing in the New Year's at Terminal 5 and I know what you're saying but look at it this way, a night at T5 lasts longer than a year anywhere else in the city so it will be longer than that Garry Marshall movie from last year!You remember the one where Robert de Niro wants to see the ball on 42nd Street drop one last time or something. Personally, I have seen 42nd on New Year's Eve and will pass thanks.
Anyway, AP always puts on a great show but this night she is coming over all Phish and playing someone else album from one end to the other. Remember back in the day you couldn't throw a brick without hitting Phish going "number nine number nine"? Well now Amanda and TOE are gonna be changing the year with a rendition of the entire Purple Rain album. Assuming Prince doesn't stick a restraining order on her ass.
I was gonna add some joke about "Darling Nikki" and Dresden Dolls but I don't think I'll bother now.
