Ahhh, yes, the old praise the one whose hated most trick

Jonah Weiner isn’t the worst writer in the world by any stretch of the imagination. He wrote a review of the Chris Brown single last week that was simply wonderful. It’s just that, despite Smokey Robinson shouting Chris out on Spectacle earlier this year, Brown mostly sucks.

And maybe that nauseating review of Paramore woulda been me writing, or at least me agreeing, if he had. been writing about Paramore.

So, maybe Weiner’s problem lies elsewhere. Here is a pull from his review posted October 21st, 2009. Guess who he is writing about. Just guess. ” It’s a fantastic baker’s dozen of first-rate schlock-rock, courtesy of one of the most underrated and unfairly maligned groups in pop history.”

Give up? Creed. Weiner has no taste. Case closed.
