I was watching MTV Cribs, being on vacation, and two boys who were said to be part of the band The Afterparty caught my attention. Driven by curiousity, I got a look inside of a jaw-dropping home and their Myspace page.
Those skinny boys workout? Apparently so. The incredible house most certainly shows wealth, along with a drive to have fun. That drive is evident in their music.
At first, I thought that The Afterparty was some Disney band, but I was horribly mistaken.
“It’s Hot” is a sugary adrenaline-pumping song that is hard to not put on your iPod playlist for your next friendly gettogether. If you don’t listen closely enough, they sound just like any other computer-kissed pop/alt band. But, if you truly pay attention, they’re much much more.
“Come On, Come On” is a song that I will, without a doubt, be recommending to any of my friends. It’s so catchy and satisfies any taste in music. And the flawless falsetto is just icing on the cake.
“I Know a Liar” is so incredibly lovable. The Afterparty is quite the group of talented boys. It’s my favourite song by them, I could never stop listening to it. I love the bass line and the rhythm most of all.
