I love Maria Taylor any way but add one of the best albums of 2013 and her shouting me out as a “real sweet guy” at one of her concerts and I, needless to say, am putty in her hands. This show at the Knitting Factory on Thursday, with a full band should be excellent as this review off “Lazy-I” would appears to prove.
Monday – Billy Joel – MSG – Second date, the buzz is the January gig was awesome
Tuesday – Panic! At The Disco – One great album does not a great band make so it is a good thing these emo rockers have two great albums.
Wednesday – Amnesty International – Barclay Center – The line up is a little weak, Flaming Lips? Imagine Dragon? no wonder it didn’t sell out but if they can keep the speeches down to a minium,,,
Wednesday – Fabolous – Stage 48 – Always a great rapper but even better live
Thursday – Blood Orange – Webster Hall – A top soul album from 2013, and sold out by the way
Thursday – The Hold Steady – Music Hall Of Williamsburg – A great live band who have been quiet for a coupla years now. The new single sucks but hey that shouldn’t stop you
Friday – Don Giovanni Showcase – Music Hall Of Williamsburg – Pretty good line up, Laura Stevenson and Shellshag? Sounds alright to me
Friday – Phil Gammage – Bella Napoli – Want a great night out? Go from Don Giovanni to the 1145pm gig here.
Saturday – Don Giovanni Showcase – Music Hall Of Williamsburg – This time you get Screaming Females
