Not only are they pushing a really good new album lousy with sylvian briar, released just last week ,but I’ve seen Of Montreal on stage before and they put on a very very live show. Like a theatrical wallop. Monday at Webster Hall.
Monday – Alan Jackson – Carnegie Hall – This is actually the show of the week but I’m gonna give it a write up elsewhere. This is the biggest country show of 2013, Alan Jackson is NOT Luke Bryant. This guy is the real thing, a country giant.
Monday – John Legend – Beacon Theater -Terrific at Summerstage, the new album is a bore but not that big a bore.
Tuesday – Gary Numan – MHOW – Sold out and Alyson loved him, I wasn’t crazy on the newbie
Tuesday – The Tubes – BB Kings -70s theatrical weirdos… hope they don’t hurt themselves
Tuesday – Chris Brown – Roseland – His streaming numbers are through the roof.
Tuesday – Ed Sheeran – MSG – HEADLINING!!!
Thursday – Holy Ghost! – T5 – Terrific disco band and their latest album is excellent… Halloween by the way.
Friday – MIA – T5 – I am going next week…
Saturday – Kendrick Lemar – Barclay Center – And 2 Chainz, Fabolouse Meek Mill
Saturday – J-Roddy Walston & the Business – Bowery Ballroom – I saw em open for the Hold Steady at this very venue and they killed it
