A Year Ago Today… This is What I Was Listening To

At the gates of hell

1.New year’s Eve At The Gates Of Hell – Ray Willie Hubbard – A

2. Please Die – Give Up The Ghost – B+

3.The House That Heaven Built – Japandroids – A

4. Small Town Moon – Regina Spektor – A

5. R.AP. Music – Killer Mike – A

6. 1191 – Azealia Banks – B+

7. Bob Dylan Dream – Against Me – B+

8. Fever – Maps & Atlases – A-

9. You Won’t Regret – Ceu – A

10. Angsty – Best Coast – B+

Comment: The surprise here is how not one band on this list compiled from 2012 listening habits, am I listening to in 2013. Regina had a disappointing year, Maps & Atlases still haven’t broken pop. Best Coast had a sales slump, Against Me went from controversy to norm. And Ceu should’ve been the next Shakira.
