There is a new Paul Simon song on Amazon UK, it’s a Christmas song, ‘Getting Ready For Christmas Day’ and it is on a new label for him, the Hear Music label, run by Starbucks.
I don’t know what to think about this since I’ve never been a fan of Christmas songs, it is just too easy, too obvious, but I haven’t heard the song, just the few seconds available on Amazon, and it’s really hard to tell, but it sounds like there is a lot going on in the background of that song, a party?
It is not on sale yet, but from what I could gather it may be available very soon, possibly today in the UK and next week in the US
A few tweets were talking about it lately, and according to @somevelvetblog, a blog from Philadelphia, Simon’s new record is coming in March, and if you want an idea of what to expect, this same guy tweeted: ‘new Paul Simon record is tropical acoustic wave delicious. Serious’.
