Representing Compton Cali is Kendrick Lamar. You cant really go too far without hearing about hits rap master and as of late- the dude is everywhere. At age 25 he's an old man in his industry but still has the street cred of his peoples. I personally like "Swimming Pools" and well as far as cliche' rap shit this man is just fine with me. The video for the tune is fucking idiotic but this genre is not about the video its about how high it can make your car bounce when you're cruisin' main.
Poor guy is stuck on Saturday Night Live, sorta like visiting an aging Aunt that used to be something 'back in the day', I wont even waste my time complaining about how much this show sucks but at least this week we get a decent musical act. Bathed in blue light and dressed in black Kendrick and his ten thousand man slow jam rapped but the sound is way off. It sounds slow and confused but the drummer is having fun. Someone really needs to adjust the mix on this thing. The backing track may be too high. Really are all of those people on stage necessary?
