1. Faller – Pieta Brown Iris Dement's step-daughter and that sure wasn't why Iris covered this terrific country folk song. I love it when writers make up words and calling yourself a "faller too" suggests a fall from grace and a fall into illicit loves arms, two sentiments Brown brings to life on this magnificent song – Grade: A-
2. I'll Take My Sorrow Straight – Iris Dement – Even sadder on stage because they was no violin to sweeten up the taste – Grade: A+
3. When You're Alone – Bruce Springsteen – A mystery of life: nobody knows where love goes but when its gone it's gone – Grade: A+
4. The Sweetest Punch – Bacharah has a lot to answer for, convincing Elvis is a song composer when he was actually a song writer. Still, we can forgive him a lot for this. Try the Bill Fressel version – Grade: A
