1. Sweet Tooth – Teena Marie – From the best album of 2013 (so far), an old fashioned metaphor with a sexy Lil Kim sounding rap, a great back beat and organic orchestration… and a little French for taste. Touche Ole – Grade: A
2. No Time To Think – Bob Dylan – Eight minutes of extended oxymorons. What's not to like? – Grade: B
3. Thrift Shop – Macklemore And Lewis – This is how success changes how a song feels. it's like the rest of the world becomes your music critic. Here they sound this was a fun novelty track and they are right – Grade: B+
4. Somewhere Over The Rainbow – The Children Of Newtown – Ingrid Michaelson sings with them and it is striving for an innocence in the face of its defacement. Musically it's a dud but music isn't really the point – Grade: B

6. Constructive Summer – The Hold Steady – With the lead guitarist at Strummerville fest later this year, this will you remind you to Raise a toast to Saint Joe Strummer, I think he might have been our only decent teacher – Grade: A
7. Flying To Berlin – Savages – Hot and weird punk rock band with mood to spare. Very buzzy stuff and I bet they've got better than this in the tank- Grade: B
8. Mamma Mia – Abba – A friend of mine just heard Abba for the first time… is it worth mentioning how much she loved them all of a sudden – Grade: A+
9. Where Are We Now – David Bowie – Available for streaming and growing on me… to a degree – Grade: B
10. Suit And Tie – Justin Timberlake – If you can imagine this wasn't Timberlake but it was just anyone, it isn't half bad – Grade: B
