It seems to me there are far too many ‘benefit’ shows lately. Is it rocker guilt or marketing?
Next up May 13 at Carnegie Hall is Stings “Rainforest Fund”.
Performers include Shirley Bassey, Elton John and Lady GaGa?
Stings wife Trudie Styler who co-chairs this fund states:
“When Sting and I first visited the rainforest in Brazil around 21 years ago we observed first hand the destruction to one of the world’s most precious resources and knew we had to do something,” said Styler. “I’m very grateful for Elton John, Lady Gaga, Dame Shirley Bassey and so many others’ continuing support of the Rainforest Fund and helping to raise awareness of the importance of our global environment and take action to help save the planet and prevent further degradation.”
I wouldn’t rush to your ticket scalper considering dinner and the show are going to set you back $2,500.00
yeah not a typo. This is after all, for charity and they’re trying to keep riff raff like me out.
Plus if Iman were to purchase a ticket GaGa would fall to exhaustion so they’re trying to price it out of his range too.
