1. Wonderful Tonight – Eric Clapton – Released in 1977 (at the height of punk!) this piece of dross is the nadir of Clapton’s career and through its appearance on an early “Miami Vice” episode, the embodiment of the 1980s. Amazingly insipid – Grade: D
2. I Want To Hold Your Hand – Moving Sidewalks – Billy Gibbons early band go punk goes pop on the Beatles. Pretty fucking bad news – Grade: C-
3. Charmer – Aimee Mann – Title track off her latest and a self-portrait if ever there was one.
