I saw the great English glam, punk, pop rock, harbinger of Brit Pop coolest band in the world, Suede at the Manhattan Center Ballroom, Tuesday February 14th, 1995 (I found the ticket stub), with an Italian girl whose name fails me right thus moment. They were awesome and sexy and I thought the chick was gonna faint!!
They’ve been gone for seven years but played a gig at the 100 Club Saturday night according to NME.
