I HATE SXSW by Iman Lababedi

As something of a loner I hate all institutions: religious, marriage, goverment, higher learning. All symbiotic relationships based upon doctrines leave me ice cold. I don’t buy it.
What I like about music, and what I like about rock nyc, is we don’t agree. We go our own ways. The only underlying philosophy is write whatever you want.
And hate U2.
Now I’m gonna add another one: Hate SXSW. I hate the New York equivalent as well (can’t remember its name). All these like minded rock fans rushing to outcool themselves makes me throw up in my mouth.
It is the institutionalizing of the hip in an outsider community.
I might like rock bands (and I might like people) in and as of themselves but there is a dumbing down of bands and people when they congregate. When they codify their doctrines.
SXSW are the institute of cool sounds. Fuck the lot of them.

One more thing, I’ve written 64 posts in the past five days and if anybody else comments about my grammer I’m gonna deck em.
