Despite admiring "Two Fingers" very much, I am not sold on the 18 year folk rocker, the EP has nothing else half as good and he looks too… well,he looks too Simian to be taken very seriously. He looks like a Liam Gallagher Mini Me!
Still, in the UK, where they've heard the entire album, they are buying into this years model for all they're worth: it's all cover of the NME, 8 star reviews and dating Girls Aloud before you know it, I bet you.
So to see this highly touted and not unimpressive folkie in the confines of Bowery Ballroom -you gotta think, right? Might be worth the price of admission? I think so. And it hasn't sold out by the way. Incidentally, here in lies a question. Why didn't he follow Ed Sheeran's lead and do a set at Mercury Lounge, nothing gives you more heat than a first US gig you can't get a tix to. Instead, there is already something whatever about the boy.
we will see. And we will indeed see, I'll be there!
