One of the toughest rock albums of the year and next thing you know, the perennial bridesmaids of punk rock wake up to find themselves… THE MAIDS OF HONOR!!! Tuesday at Webster Hall is the Canadian rock band Japandroids' coming out party and in a week that finds both the Who and the Stones playing around time, it’s a blast to remind the archivists among us that rock and roll is alive and well in 2012.
Monday – One Direction – MSG – I don’t have sky high hopes but maybe they’ll have enough personality or t least special effects to pull it off.
Wednesday – The Who – MSG – Yeah, I read Ira Robbins sad sad review It is just that I don’t necessarily buy it.
Thursday – Marina And The Diamonds – T5 – Disappointing in their opening slot on the Coldplay tour, let’s see if they can pull it off as headliners.
Friday – Z-100 Jingle Ball – MSG – Bieber and the Wanted, we just saw, but 1D and especially Taylor playing songs off Red, now that should be interesting
Saturday – The Rolling Stones – I’m waiting for “Get Off Of My Cloud”
Sunday – Natalie Merchant – New Jersey Performing Arts Center – Man, painful…
