I know I promised you a Spider Bags, you remember them they released the best album of 2012, Shake Your Head, and I interviewed the great Dan McGee for this very website, back in September but the club, Local 269 had its basement flooded and the gig was cancelled. I was actually gonna blow off jack White to see them but the day before, unable to get through to Local 269 I visited the club, only to find it boarded up. So I went to jack White and ended up being one of the best concerts of the year.
So yeah, after Dan the Man promising a gig at MHOW, and down trending to Local 269, for the umpteenth time I failed to see the band of the moment.
Spider Bags is one of the best bands on earth right now, I’ve heard great things about their live shows and all three of their albums, even the dodgy one in the middle, are must ons and their latest, as rough and tumble a Memphis garage album as you’ve heard in your very best dreams,
But the long wait is apparently over and if you go to Ticketweb you can pick a tix for Saturday, January 19th, 2013 at Cameo Gallery. This is a must see band in their element and I am overjoyed at the chance to finally see them live.
