I got this off brooklynvegan who got it off Buzzfeed & Laughing Squid, who got it from the 2002, Kurt Cobain "Journals". Boatloads of hardcore, punk and elder statesmen hard rock. Including the # 1 album. Plus some softer stuff like Toung Marble Giants which suggests where Kurt learnt his quiet.

3. The Breeders, "Pod" – Woah, a bit of a downer here, but if you add it to Surfer Rosa you get boatloads of Nirvana – Grade: B+
4. The Vaselines, "Pink EP" – Never heard it, but I expect"Jesus Doesn't Want Me For A Sunbeam" is somewhere there.
5. The Shaggs, "Philosophy of the World" – Yeah, I think Lester Bangs was having us on – Grade: C-
6. Fang, "Landshark" – This is the album Kurt got "The Money Will Roll Right In" From – Grade: B+
7. MDC, "Millions of Dead Cops" – 80s West Coast punk band are loud and nasty – Grade: B+
8. Scratch Acid, "Scratch Acid EP" – More crunchy noise – Grade: B+
9. Saccharine Trust, "Paganicons" – West Coast SST band, really, really good – Grade: B+
10. Butthole Surfers, "Pee Pee the Sailor" aka "Brown Reason to Live" – I got into them circa Electric Larryland and don't know this stuff

16. PJ Harvey, "Dry" – Her first album and she started ready formed bass heavy raw and dry blues – Grade: A
17. Sonic Youth, "Daydream Nation" – Not my fave, that would be EVOL- Grade: B
18. The Knack, "Get the Knack" – One hit wonders now dead – Grade: B-
