I haven't seen Public Enemy on stage since the 1990s when they opened for Run DMC by hanging a white man in effigy before performing an excellent set.
I expect the same at the end of the month, in both cases they are coming off some very good work. In 1998, the soundtrack to Spike Lee's basketball movie "He Got Game" (you remember: "the man behind the man paying the man" and in 2012, two albums, one of which if it has been released, it is being kept a state secret and the other, Most Of My Heroes Still Don't Appear On No Stamps, one of the best albums of the year.
So on a very very busy week (Neil Young will be the Tuesday, Justin Bieber the Wednesday) I had to fit one more show in before they carry me home in a bodybag.
If you can afford it, go for the VIP tix and get in the balcony or you won't see much. Twice the price but worth it.
