1. Luv XXX – Aerosmith – I hear the rest of the album sucks and that might well be but this opening salvo is a crunchy little rocker that shakes the cobwebs off and from its "Hello, hello, hello…" first lines wonks its way thru in powerful fashion. Really, not terrible – Grade: B2.She Is – Ne-Yo – A good friend of mine swears Ne-Yo is our best soul singer, and, I agree, he is a pretty good singer indeed, wide range, good upper register. But he falters on material. This is a pretty sweet nothing – Grade: B-
3. I Found You – The Wanted – Boy band r&b, kinda like porn for children. Grade: C
4. Hit Me Like A Bomb – Third Day – Together since 1991, this is a tedious band singing terrible rock and roll with a Christian bent – Grade: D
5. Fuck You – Bad Religion – Great false start and words to live by in a speed metal package – Grade: A-
6. While You're Here – Dirty Projectors – Second track on the new EP has Dave singing over a String Quartet. Alright with me – Grade: B
7. The Sunset Sleeps – Red Hot Chili Peppers – the U2 of alt… and that's not a compliment – Grade: C+
8. All The Lovers – Kylie Minogue – Her voice has always been a little too weak but this serious rethinking of disco into AOR is better than most – Grade: B-
9. Down Thru The Ages – All That Remains – These guys always bring it, neither the heaviest nor the most metal, still on songs like this the vocals are pure hardcore and the guitars plenty brutal. Plus there is a melody – Grade: B+
10. (There's) Always Something There To Remind Me – Dionne Warwick – She's lost a lot off her voice but can maintain the middle – Grade: B-
