Well, well, well, if it isn't fun. The band that our darlings Henry Sins and Mary Magpie consider one of the most flawless acts of all time. The 'carry me home tonight' guys.Lead singer Nate Ruess reminds me of a young Mickey Rooney and I don't know why.
I like them they're cute enough and at the end of a shitty week of hurricanes and power outages what we all need is a bit of fun. fun and Lewis CK so we're going to howl with laughter arent we? Howl and sing along like drunken soldiers. Both are New Yorkers so no excuses, float your asses to 30 Rock right?
This could be the most anticipated SNL in a long time. I pray they perform a new song, something for me to love…..anything…
Iman continues: Well I guess Helen won't find out because she fell asleep drooling on her pillow as usual. Me? I saw fun. at T5 this summer and they didn't seem this tired. Nate Reiss with earplugs, raincoat, bags under his eyes is morphing into Mark Wahlberg before our very eyes and playing "Some Nights" for the millioneth or so time, he is like A-Rod trying to hit home runs off a right handed pitcher. Maybe he should stop for a second. Or a month.
fun. might be a great group or they might not but if they don't take a break from nonstop touring they won't be a great band for much longer. And what is it with the earplugs? Pianist Andrew Dost is also wearing em, but purple ones, so you gotta think at least one of em is a fashion plate.
Look, I love both the band at the album and even the song, but they need a break because they are worn out. All the thrill of that night at T5 seems to be over and done with and they should go home and sleep till I see em at Radio City Music Hall in February.
