1. Wide Eyed And Legless – Georgie Fame – When we last ran into Fame he was playing keyboards in Van Morrison's band. Not that Fame is a rock journeyman, rather he is a pop eccentric with a taste for jazz,  who played with Alan Price and his own Blue Flames back in the day and never bothered to top. Off his terrific new album, a terrific version of the Andy Fairweather-Low ode to alcoholism – Grade: A

2. Epic – Calexico – Yes indeedy, an acoustic builder of indie soundscapes that build with quiet intensity – Grade: B+

3. Ain't t Messing Around – Gary Clark Jr – It's none of my business, but if I was Gary I'd streamline the arrangement and get to the point much faster – Grade: B

4. The Nightline – The Dodos – Pleasant enough strum and dumb jingler – Grade: B

5. White Lines (Don't Do It) – Duran Duran – Who would have thought this ode to a drug Duran Duran are more than a little aware of would make such a great cover – Grade: A-

6. Gucci Time – Gucci Mane – Why is the new GM not on Sportily? I guess this will have to do till we get it – Grade: A-

7. Girl Don't Come – Sandie Shaw – The horns in the intro are great -so 1960s! – Grade: A

8. Stepping Out With My Baby – Tony Bennett And Christina Aguilera – Christina oversings, Tony sings it right – Grade: B

9. Christmas In The Sand – Colbie Caillat – Colbie co-wrote this glorious little Christmas on the West Coast ditty. Grade: B+

10. Love Will Tell Us Where To Go – Bridgit Mendler – I have no kick against kids listening to disposable pop, but cmon, for this they kicked Miley Cyrus to the curb? – Grade: C
