Iman and hel Do SNL: Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars is gay.  Well, maybe he is gay we arent sure but woo wee the girls (and guys!) swoon.  If I hear 'You're ah maze ing..jusss the wayy youuu arrree" one more time. BAM Imma slap his hat off.   Peter Gene Hernandez got it goin on.  At age 27 he took croonin style and made it maintstream.

I cant say I hate him but its the repetition of his songs on radio rotation that have pushed my tolerance out the window. I will say he has a great title on his album 'Doo Wop and Hooligans' but other than that I am not so sure that his fans are up this late.

Saturday night live needs to rejuvenate.  We need some hardcore bands on it! We need Four Year Strong on SNL not this snooze a thon lame ass pop radio crap and pronto.

The worse thing on Earth is the audience is full of his fans so even as he kills the monlogue with his croon they scream 'wooo'.  Someone help me.  He isnt a comedian.  He isnt an actor but in SNL's 2 for a dollar mentality its ok to serve us whatever they please.  I thought monologues were supposed to be funny and not dance sing backs.  Horrible.  He wasnt funny in drag (but SEE he is gay) or the Pandora impersonations…he's not funny. Hes a singer.  Iman may disagree that saying he does a good Green Day and Aerosmith but then again he just got in from seeing a ton of bands in 5 hours.  So, of course, I will cut him some slack.

But once he's back to being the musical guest there is a natural feeling to his schtick.  I adore the horn section.  I love the old O'Jays type dancing moves and to see about a half a million people in his ensemble is pretty fun.  "Locked Out Of Heaven" is a top forty tune.  Nothing dynamic.

Iman pretty much feels the same : "He does a mean Michael Jackson but this is generic pop. Still, he is a good performer with a disappointing song.  Nice watch".

Awesome so next week there is a repeat.  Iman and hel will be back on November 3rd to watch the band fun.  Do they have new material yet or are they still carrying you home tonight?
