Winner – CMJ Music Marathon – Now that I have seen it up close, the sheer magnitude of the undertaking is mindboggling. Over 1000 acts in a dozen venues. And yet it is being handled with such calm assurance that every time you come to the HEART OF THE ORGANIZATION, everything is running like clockwork. It is so digital, on the mark, smart as help, sure no problem for sooooo many people. If the country was half as well organized…Loser – Adele – I didn't hate "Skyfall" and I don't like Adele, so the truth is it can't be THAT BAD at all. But, from the touched up, who is that woman, who is fooling who exactly cover picture to the thumping, 007 redux orchestrated interruptions, it feels very very fake. And Adele sells real. Maybe it go top ten next week, this week it sure didn't.
