Just heard that my of my favorite bands will be releasing a live 2CD/DVD set. Extreme will release “Take Us Alive” on April 23rd. This is something I will definitely check out.
This performance was recorded on the last night of their tour at the House of Blues in Boston. Which happens to be the bands hometown.
Extreme was on a 13-year hiatus and then in 2008 released the album “Saudades de Rock”. Which as I thought was a great album. It got little recognition, but to those who were big fans of the band, they can tell you that they didn’t miss a beat in the 13 years they weren’t together.
I still think that Nuno Bettencourt was one of the best guitarist in the “hair-band” era. Probably one of the most under-rated guitar players ever.
