Every year I buy a wall calender and by the end of the year,it is filled with concerts. I go to a lot, I mean a loooot, of concerts. My bet is over 200 sets by the end of this year, Maybe an average of six a week, often a lot more. And it is a bitch to keep track of.
So I buy a wall calender and do it that way. Of course, that means I am not always CERTAIN, if I'm not at home. That means I double book from time to time. And am already double booked for one night in May!!!!
In 2011 I had a Presley calender and in 2012 a Marilyn Monroe calender, for 2013 I've been prevaricating between Jimi Hendrix and Lennon and finally went with Lennon just because the damn thing is so bright and positive and creamy looking… It's his doodles and I really like it.
And it doesn't take its place on my wall till News Year Day… sorry but rules are rules. There is January 2013, still early of course, but Crenshaw as Lennon for what will probably be the first concert of the year? Synchronicty!!

January 3rd – BB Kings – Marshall Crenshaw – Beatlemania stars reunite to play the classics. Starring Crenshaw as Lennon!!!
January 14th – Barclay's Center – Green Day – He must be out of rehab by then.
January 31st T5 – The Vaccines – The second album is quite as good as the firsy
February 22nd – MSG – Lady Gaga – It isn't "Art-Pop" but I bet it has some of it included.
March 1st – MSG – Swedish House Mafia – Houses last stand
March 23rd – Izod – Pink – I bet there is no more swinging on trapezes
May 4th – Rihanna and Renee Fleming – BUT NOT IN THE SAME PLACE!!! -somebody will have to fall…
