How exciting!! The former Sleater Kinney lead singer Corin Tucker at Mercury Lounge. I guess she will be celebrating her second solo album, which will have been released two days prior two this Thursday evening release party at the tiny club. Added plus? "Groundhog Day" is my jam.
Monday – Grizzly Bear – Radio City Music Hall – The buzz on the new album, Shields, is absolutely accurate. It is really that good.
Tuesday – David Byrne And St. Vincent – Beacon Theater – The new album is a sincerely felt drag, maybe they can pull it off live.
Wednesday – Avicii – Radio City Music Hall – Made zero impression opening for Madonna at Yankee Stadium… except for musically. He sounded good.
Friday – Jay- Z – Barclay Center – Opening night at the Nets new home. Could be very good
Saturday – Jack White – Radio City Music Hall – Sure, he's an egocentric monster. Judge him on his music and you will be gagging to see Blunderbuss live on stage!
Sunday – First Aid Kit – MHOW – Swedish folkies… wonder if Conor will show?
