1. Groundhog Dog – Corin Tucker Band – According to this terrific little rocker, Corin took a break to have kids, came back, and found us all living the same day over and over. Apparently, women are still on their back and nothing changed. Except their are more women then men in college and in the workforce. The moral: great art trumps stupid politics – Grade: A

2. Down And Out In New York City – James Brown – I swear he was singing in the same key as Corin – Grade: B+

3. Freaking Out – Graham Coxon – Blur guitarist doesn't have the voice but he sure has the guitarist in this thunderous rocker, the chorus doesn't work… – Grade: B+

4. Handwritten – The Gaslight Anthem – I'm trying to like this band, man. I'm really trying to like this years future of rock and roll. But they don't make it easy – Grade: C

5. The Way It Is – The Sheepdogs – This is why Rolling Stone can't manufacture  popular bands, they have to write good songs not tired pubrock blues riffs – Grade: C-

6. Hell On Heels – Pistol Annies – Sure it's a good song, what else they got? – Grade: B+

7.  Die In Your Arms – Justin Bieber – I see why my generation consider him a shallow thing, but I don't care whether he is or not when he releases stuff like this – Grade: A

8. Gimme Death – Trash Talk – Odd Future record labeling artists need to be louder and faster – Grade: B

9. Money Won't Change You – James Brown – Not just an epitaph, but a truth so profound it should be a cliche – Grade: A+

10. Baby Ride Easy – Carlene Carter – Best part, when Carlene let's Dave say he won at arm wrestling – Grade: A
