Fire Destroys Sound Sound Of Philadelphia HQ

The death of Teddy Pendergrass earlier this year has placed the Sound Of Philadelphia as proselytized by super-producers Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff foremost in many pop music fans minds and so the news that Philadelphia International records HQ -which housed many of the master tapes from so many great bands like the O’Jays and Harold Melvyn And The Bluenotes even additional weight.

The fire was intentional but the police have made no arrests yet.

Gamble told AP, he and Huff will rebound from it and I am sure they will but Egypt rebounded from the burning of their libraries and the loss was irretrievable
