1. Settle Down – No Doubt – At six minutes it is too long,a nd the Middle Eastern instruments on the back track are a distraction. But at its heart, this is No Doubt 101 and as a fan of No Doubt, I admire its skaville rhythms and hooks aplenty – Grade: A-
2. Runaways – The Killers – On the other hand, this song is four minutes long and goes on for years: it is a The River like epic, only really really bad – Grade: C-
3. Take A Walk – Passion Pit – wait a second, he is cancelling concerts for his mental health? Wow, glad I'm not insuring the tour – Grade: C+
4. How They Want Me To Be – Best Coast – Maybe the best song off their newbie – Grade: A
5. Highway Star – Deep Purple – With Jon Lord's death, all I can hear ios the organ roaring a pathway to the dancefloor – Grade: A+
