News comes today that Sting will be touring with the Royal Philharmonic performing symphonic renditions of Police songs as well as his solo works.
I need to think about this for a bit but this has potential to be rather amazing
Dates are confirmed for the West Coast and British Columbia but dates for New York, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Philadelphia, Portland, Seattle and Washington, D.C., as well as . Other North American cities will also be added to within the coming weeks.
“Performing with both the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Philadelphia Orchestra was truly a highlight of my career,” Sting said. “I’m delighted by this new opportunity to tour with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and reinterpret the songs I’ve been playing for many years.”
I’d love to hear Englishman in New York’ in this capacity, maybe “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic”. I’ll keep an eye on this and remain on the fence
