I am a little surprised by this West Coast looking tribute album to Fleetwood Mac because the assumption is we would be getting the Buckingham/Nicks Mac to the exclusion of just about everything else but no, even with Best coast doing "Rhiannon". this bunch of covers digs deeper:
01. Entrance Band – Green Manalishi
02. Crystal Ark – Tusk
03. Best Coast – Rhiannon
04. The New Pornographes – Think About Me
05. MGMT – Future Games
06. Marianne Faithful – Angel
07. Antony Hegarty – Landslide
08. Ranaldo and Mascis – Albatross
09. Trixie Whitley – Before the Beginning
10. Washed Out – Straight Back
11. Super Wolf – Storms
12. The Kills – Dreams
13. Gardens and Villa – Gypsy
14. Billy Gibbons – Oh Well
15. Lykke Li – Silver Springs
And so here is "Future Games" and "Albatross" and, yeah, the Kills doing "Dreams" but also Billy Gibbons on "Oh Well". Fleetwood Mac's mid-1970s triumphs so overwhelms the rest of their career that it is easy to lose sight of them as one of the original white blues band and a gifted bunch.
