Getting ready for the Harper Blynn set Saturday at Mercury Lounge, I started listening to Loneliest Generation again and wow is “25 Years” great. It reminds me of all those Don Dixon uber power pop bands: very, very arranged, intense attention to melody, highly self-referential, and something sad around the corner.
“Don’t pretend that you don’t know, 25 years with nothing to show…” Great song.
