Going to The Space, you know you’re in for a good show. We got into the venue, with not a lot of people. and Find Vienna was on. To be honest, the singer sounded like a dying moose. The only good thing about the band was the bassist. And it was probably just the settings on the amp. Needless to say, I was looking more than forward for them to get off the stage, because it was painful.

I’m thinking someone told the lead singer he sounded like Sting and he believed it. Right down to the fake British accent at times. He was nervous dropping his tambourine and fumbling about. The bassist was trying so hard to show some energy but in translation came across as bullying. The guitarists power stances and facial expressions made me wonder if he was playing with Motorhead in his mind. Find Vienna has one a Clear Channel gig opening for The Script in New York. I don’t know why. I was not impressed at all.

The next band, Solfege Radio, made my night. The singer, who was nervous, took off his glasses and went up there with a sore throat and sang his best. It was more than enough. Totally up there having fun, they had great presence; they used their nervous energy and put it into their show.
Hel sez:
Exactly and well put. Solfege Radio used their nerves as a weapon. As evident in the sweat covered singer near the kid in the photograph. I was blown away by this New Jersey based band. I hope they can stay on track. Its tough at that age, distractions are many. School is vital but for what they are at this moment, I was honored to see such true spirit of rock displayed.
Mary sez:
Love Via Dance Machine was on next. They’re as good live as they are recorded. They had great energy, face paint, and smiles on their faces.
We left after LVDM, with a Solfege Radio shirt in hand. Great night, a new favourite band, and the chance to see LVDM.

All grown up and taking on the world. Great set, huge family support happy energetic and feeling the dream I’d say. I agree, it was great to see them live and wish them all the best.
