New York Post Music Critic Dan Aquilante Quits

Whenever I need a quick post, I just read Dan Aquilante's Tuesday new music column in the New York Post, laugh myself sick, and write the opposite of anything he says. NYP's music critic since 1985, Dan Aquilante, is really the worst. This is the guy who gave that posthumous Michael Jackson single a 5 star review. All his taste is in his mouth.

Anyway, no Dan Aquilante copy for the past couple of weeks so I went in search and apparently Dan Aquilante quit to start his own syndicated column called (I kid you not) Dan the Man, on dantheman.com. It isn't the worst idea in the world… Dan told Capital  New York: he wants to give the opportunity for smaller papers who don't have the resources to print interviews with Madonna and Aretha Franklin.

Perhaps, but Aquilante, a big time sycophant who beats up on the smaller artists (put his name in our search and see for yourself) will be surprised at how little cachet 30 years of service will give him with the majors.

Incidentally, I wish him the best of luck. Dan never fails to point me in the right direction, werever he isn't.
