We Are The World, We Are The Overactors by Iman Lababedi

Wow.
I didn’t think this piece of garbage could suck any more than I imagined it would. But god bless america, they managed it.
“We Are The World 25” interspersed overpaid, overdrugged, overdone rock stars with shots taken of the victims singing this horrendous piece of lies and bullshit.
No. Really.
They did.
These poor people with nothing at all are filmed singing along to this blatant publicity stunt.
The song, is, as it ever was, diabolical. We expected that. And the necrophiliac introduction of the dead Michael Jackson is so irrelevant, so self-serving, so simply bad mannered it baffles the imagination that anybody allowed it.
And  compared to the sight of shoeless children, smiling, dancing and singing in the rubble, it is the picture of good taste.
Is everybody insane? How were Haitians who performed paid? Money was useless… why didn’t they at lease give em sturdy shoes and a crust of bread?
A repulsive, cynical, stupid exercise in public relations. We are the world? Not me. I abdicate.
