Having not seen the movie yet, I can only imagine why the soundtrack is so horrendous. Sure, “Today Was A Fairytale” , the new Taylor Swift song on here, worked fine for me, but the rest of this mess? Willie Nelson singing “The Street Where You Live” is pretty croaking bad but Jamiroquai singing “I’m In The Mood” must be one of the seven rings of hell.
Much worse is a new Jewel song, Maroon 5 “The Way You Look Tonight”, on and on with a buncha semi-standards thrown in to sucker the punters. I mean, if you need to buy Nat King Cole for gods sake buy Nat King Cole -don’t buy this dross to get one song.
Worst of all that gossip girl chick with the unspellable name and Robin Thicke singing “Somebody To Love”.
