Miley Cyrus Not Too Many LOLs

Lionsgate vicious dumping of Miley Cyrus' teen dramedy in 5 markets (New York wasn't one of them) and watching it wither and die on the vine makes no sense at all. They paid for it, why wouldn't they work it, right?

Except…

1. Lionsgate had the Avengers in wide release at the same time, who had the time?

2. Miley Cyrus had no way to push their hand. She has no cachet.

3. The director, Lisa Azuelos, is French and an unknown entity… who cares if she doesn't like it.

4. French films are notoriously difficult to translate into English.

5. Miley's last movie, "The Last Song" bombed.

6. Miley's social life made it, all pot and teenage sex, made it a hard sell to tweens.

But even with all that, why didn't Lionsgate send it straight to video instead of publicly humiliate the singer? What did they think would happen? NOBODY even heard of the movie at all?
