OTiS
No, I am not screaming. This is how the band writes its name. Capital “O”, capital “T”, lover case ”i” capital “S”.
This is a brand new band forming just last year in Brooklyn. The band is filled with great talent and is a mix of rock, soul, and funk. They also have that “jam band” feel to them.
I believe that they are a cross between Black Crowes/Sublime/some soul/ some rock. The lead singer reminds me of Jamiroquai or Lenny Kravitz, keyboards sounds like something from Phish. Just some great music to listen to. The guitar has the funk sound to it. Really great mix.
I was able to obtain an advance copy of their debut cd, and I strongly feel that these guys can be the next “big thing”.
Some of my favorite songs are “American Dream”, “Andeluusia” and “Reconstruction”. These guys are really living the “American Dream”. I really hope that people catch onto these guys.
The band have booked shows on 2/26 and 3/20 in New York City. Not sure as to where… but I will find out. I plan to get to at least one of these performances. It will be a great show.
