A coupla years ago I wrote a post about KKK punk rock bands -got myself on a coupla mailing lists I could'e lived without, ut but I did and was.
So today I am gonna quote two songs. And I want you to tell me whether you think the use of the "n" word is the same in both of them.
1. "Ain't no nigga like the one I got, no one can fuck you you better".
and
2. "12 nigger's heads in my fridge, oh yeah".
My point in self-evident, it is arrogant, self-righteous stupidity to NOT take context in mind in the use of offensive words. If hip hop is going to remove the whip sting of racism in the word "nigger", by respelling and redefining it, from a euphemism for sub-human slave, to "brother" than why don't they want it used that way.
How can they stop it from being changed on them?
It simply ISN'T offensive for around two generations at this point.
Chris Rock wrote about how white people can not ever use the "n word" but he is wrong… rather, he should embrace the word being moved into the vernacular, being reformed as "brother" and being taken away from white racist and handed to white rap lovers.
OK, that's it. go along with your lives.
