1. Give Him A Great Big Kiss – The Shangri-Las – New York Dolls went looking for a kiss, and this girls, equally lousy spellers, sure found one. Absolutely classic. Grade: A
2. Common People – Pulp – One of the smartest songs ever written about money and the lack of it. Bruce Springsteen should listen to it and eat crow. Grade: A+
3. Man's Job – Bruce Springsteen – Speaking of mighty fine. Grade: A
4. The Bare Necessities – Phil Harris – A dream of a simpler, easier life.
5. Sophia – Laura Marling -Best line? "I's wo-o-ounded by dust". Grade: A
6. Repeating The Circle – Ceremony – I have no idea why I can't really hear this band but I can't. Here the bass lick sounds like Joy Division steal but the rest is a little bland.ef. Grade: B
7. Girl The Girl A Kiss – Bruce Springsteen – Killer guitar solo, is that Lofgren?
8. International Serious (feat Chris Brown) – Estelle – This song is on its way to my best of list… the beats are great and Estelle doesn't let her guest show her up.
9. Rocky Ground – Bruce Springsteen – I dunno, the rap works for me.
