Active Viewin' Week Of March 5th, 2012

London band Daughter have only one EP to their name, last years three track His Young Heart. Just three tracks , but this, according to the Guardian, musical progeny of Eno and Enya, is a ddozu. AT Mercury Lounge on Friday.

Monday – Tennis – MHOW – Hotshot indie pop duo flogging their sophomore effort.

Tuesday – The So So Glos – Mercury Lounge – The guys behind "Fred Astaire " and the lead singer saved Patrick Stickles life.

Wednesday – The Kooks – T5 – So close to big time, then they tripped over the chicks and drugs.

Thursday – Kaiser Chiefs – T6 – The following night an English band who've maintained their cool a little better, Last time I saw em they were holding their own at MSG opening for Green day.

Saturday – David Johansen – Highline Ballroom – He is just as good solo (or as Buster Poindexter for that matter) as with the Dolls. I just bought a tix myself.

Sunday – Bobby Keys – Highline Ballroom – I wasn't thrilled when I caught him earlier this year but who knows…?

PS? I didn't like "Pick Concerts"as the name for this weekly what's on column, so Helen Bach thought up "Active Viewing" and I dropped the g.
