Family Force 5 "Get On Outta Here" Reviewed

Whether I wasn't paying that much attention, or Family Force 5 simply fell off the radar for a while.  Either way, I decided to give their new single. "Get On Outta Here" a listen.

They're still the same old FF5 that I grew up loving.  Their sound hasn't changed a bit.  They have the same thumping beats, guitar rifts, and vocal effects.  Upon first listening to it, I really felt nostalgic and thought that I was going to love the band again.  However, I just couldn't get into it at all.  The song isn't….good.  My music taste has changed a lot, and I find that the band was never that great in the first place, I just thought that they were.

In fact, I really can't find a single thing I like about this song.  It's annoying and not well written.  It's because the voice doesn't have a single pure quality because of how much it's been filtered and processed and doesn't have a quality that's pleasing to listen to.  It's disappointing because it had potential, but it just hit a point where there's nothing decent about it.  There's also nothing unique about the song, since it sounds just like everything else the band has ever done.  It sounds like they're trying to hard, and it's almost embarrassing.  The tune just simply doesn't feel natural.

After them falling off my radar, I think that Family Force 5 is going to stay off it.
