Motion City Soundtrack never fails to make me happy. So different, so great, so…talented. My Dinosaur Life, their latest album, lived up to that and more.
“Worker Bee”, the first track, is funny, another thing that MCS is great at. Dancy and easy to listen to, it’s flawless.
Speaking of flawless, “A Lifeless Ordinary” and “Disappear” are untouchable. Almost perfect until Justin’s voice hits falsetto, and then you think that you’re in heaven. It’s stunning just how completely perfect they are.
“Delirium” is completely, undoubtedly my favourite track on the album. Great melody, one you can bob your head to, it’s more than catchy-it’s ADDICTING.
“History Lesson”, “@!#?@!” and “Hysteria” are empty calories, nothing of value but still decent.
“‘Stand too Close” is my second favorite song. I’ll admit to dancing around to this one, with a grin and not caring if I knock over anything.
I know it’s early to say this, but this may be THE album of 2010.
