1. Human Behavior – Bjork – In anticipation of seeing her tomorrow, I went back to vintage Bjork. Better than the Sugarcubes. Better than her swan at the Oscars. Definitely better than the Bjork I'm gonna see tomorrow, this is a near perfect art-pop moment. She was great on stage as well.
2. Primitive Girl – M. Ward – Clever little arrangement but another bore.
3.Limp – Fiona Apple – $112 at Stubhub for MHOW tix. I don't think so.
4. Balcony – Craig Finn – One of my fave songs of the year, either this or Fucked Up but Fucked Up requires too much time investment.
5. Some Nights – Fun. – This and the hit are major songs. The rest of the album? Not so much.
6. Double Tap – Ministry – Not only does this live up to its name, it is also as vicious an assault on rock as you'll ever here. It sounds like 5 drumsets going nonstop in double time.
7. Sorted Out For E's & Wizz – Pulp – Since you ask… it's 20,000 people standing in a field.
8. Falling – The Civil Wars – Man is this boring -this is like listening to paint dry. They make Justin Vernon sound like the life of the party.
9. Best For Last – Adele – A good Adele song???? No, really, this one off 19 isn't terrible.
10. Honeybabysweetiedoll – Van Halen – I expect somebody to start intoning "number nine" any minute.
