Back in the 90s, I waited three hours outside Tower Records on West 4th street to get Brian Wilson to sign some CD covers. Worth it? Depends who os going the wanting, but he was scary spacey.
I mention this not to explain why I am not spending $1,250 for front row/sound check/meet and greet with the Beach Boys. I'm not doing it because I can't afford it. If I could, I would. But I'm telling it to warn you not to get too close to your heroes, you never know what you're going to get.
Look, the Bech Boys are NOT Bon Jovi. When you paid a coupla grand to meet Bon Jovi, you got stuck with their roadie. I am assuming you will get Al Jardine at the very least! Plus, cmon, it's the Beach Boys. Greatest bands ever?
The Beatles
The Stones
The Beach Boys
Can you deny it? It is kinda difficult right?
And I know Carl and Dennis are dead, but there ain't a thing we can do about that so if this isn't THE BEACH BOYS, you really can't get closer. Maybe Glen can join rm foa song.
So, I paid a buck 20 for my tix, but if you've got $1,250 more power to you. Do it, write about it, and I'll post.
