According to contact,music.com "Sony heads have issued a statement insisting the albums were "mistakenly mispriced" and they "immediately corrected" the error once it had been discovered"
Yeah, right.
Though on the flip side, it seems to mean that Itunes are not responsible for raised prices when an artist dies. Or not directly. I would be surprised if it wasn't done in conjunction with Apple (I mean, at the very least they have to be informed) but the decision appears to rest with the record compnay. And it is the record company who are number one on the list of graverobbers with ITunes, probably # 2.
Incidentally, still no statement from Apple as toe xactly what goes down…
